Very Unusual Vintage SIGNED SOUVENIR CHINESE RESTAURANT Photo in Fancy Folder, Cleveland Ohio, 1946SCRIPTION:
Scans show it all. Very unique vintage signed photo from women's gathering at Chin's Chinese Restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio. From the photo of 10 women, looks like either a party, a celebration, or some sort of women's club meeting. Maybe an employment send-off to a new job, based on the specific sentiments. In any event, A REALLY NICE EXAMPLE, WITH EACH WOMAN HAVING SIGNED IT, ALONG WITH A NOTE OR SENTIMENT. Has owner's name, Dorothy Stuart, as well as date of Oct. 26, 1946.
Folder has all the information about the restaurant. Especially cool in that it was a Chinese restaurant, relatively uncommon in 1946!! Folder measures 6 1/2" x 9". During those days, a roving photographer would take photos of various patrons enjoying themselves.
Set in fancy, handsome large 2 page folder with the name and address of the restaurant. Must have been fancy and large, and specifically is marked "THE VICTORY ROOM", obviously a period reference to WWII.
A GREAT ADDITION TO ANY ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHIC DISPLAY OR COLLECTION, Cleveland, Ohio souvenirs, or vintage restaurant/night club/entertainment items. Especially with the date, the identification, and the sentiments. A great souvenir and collection piece!!
