    Description

    This scarce 1910s "Tip Top"1 3/4 oz. empty paper tobacco packet, measuring 1 3/4" x 1" x 2 5/8" is in excellent condition with no tears and some chips on the silver top and bottom edges.  There is a nearly complete tax stamp.  This very attractive brown and red checkered tin features a superb image of a steam fire engine being drawn by two horses.  The tobacco was manufactured by the Gradle & Strotz, St Louis, MO (Liggett & Meyers Tobacco Company, Successor) in Factory 3, 1st District, IL.
