Super opalotype image of a US Marine Officer. Opalotypes of any subject are extremely scarce and if you're a Marine Corps collector I'm willing to bet that you do not have one in your collection. Color tinted by hand on white milk glass, opalotypes almost have a dream like or watercolor appearance. This one measures slightly less than 3.25" x 4.25". Some small freckles of finish at lower left as shown, small chip out of glass on reverse top top left corner, but not affecting the front or the image itself. A super item. 8.00 for careful shipping.
