Description

Estate Find, 2 RPPC, both with AZO stampbox, 4 triangles up, dating them from 1904-1918.  Both appear to be disaster aftermath images, presumably earthquake.
The one with the large damaged warehouse is presumably from the aftermath of Imperial Valley earthquake of 1915. It shows a heavily damaged warehouse and written in ink on back is "Imperial Calif".  Building lettering difficult to read from damage, but is Globe A-1 Flour warehouse. There are multiple flour sacks visible in the photo on the side of the building and the exposed interior.  The vehicle in the foreground has writing on the front window, only legible word is "Stage".  Image on this is crisp and focused, the only somewhat blurred subject is the gentleman standing by vehicle, presumably because he was moving.  There is some discoloration on the right border and in lower right corner of the image area, though not really noticeable on image.  There are a few random fingerprints visible on image when viewed at an angle, but not noticeable when viewed straight on. Discoloration also visible on back side, minor corner bumps and edge wear.
The 2nd RPPC is of a gentleman walking in foreground. Behind him is rubble, the remains of a building with advertising mural. Only partially available, the mural would have been for Gunst & CO, Inc. Cigar 5 cents. Behind that is a sign for Broadway Chop House and a horse drawn wagon. I'm not certain what the cylindrical object in left foreground, portion of water or grain tower perhaps? There appear to be 2 more of these in the background visible over the remains of the building. This could be aftermath of 1906 earthquake in San Francisco area. I was unable to verify any items in the image finding no mention anywhere of a Broadway Chop House. Gunst wholesaled cigars, so mural could presumably be on any shop. Image on this RPPC isn't as distinct and contrast much lower, man in foreground is blurred as he was walking at the moment the photo was taken.  Color is more of a sepia tone than b&w.  Some brownish discoloration on this postcard similar to other postcard in this listing.  Minor corner bumps, edge wear and a light crease on right side in image area.
I have included photos showing examples and tried to describe and represent condition, but I am not an expert, only describing what I am aware of.  Please message with any specific questions before bidding!
