    Description

This is a lot of 8 antique celluloid photograph pinback button pins, brooch, stickpin, and mirror.
There is a set of wedding portraits in black and white with hints of hand tinting. The pocket mirror is largest piece in the lot at approx 2-3/4” x 1-3/4”. Condition of mirror - celluloid side shows very minor rubbing while the mirror is quite dark. Pinback condition - picture appears to be in very good to near excellent condition while the tin backing is dark and spotty with age.
Mustachioed man. Button back is marked Miller of Minneapolis, Minn. Pin-lock patent date of 1898. Condition – no pin stem, bit of a dent, some soiling on the photo.
Diamond shaped gold filled brooch with a photo of a couple mounted from the back. She has a hint of gold paint detailing over her necklace. Condition – there is no glass or clear celluloid over the photo (I don’t know if the pin was intended to have a clear cover), dark discoloration to the photo, some spotting, tarnish and brassing to the metal. A hint of verdigris that rubbed off after I took the photos.
Portrait of a serious woman. Condition – the pin stem has been replaced with a bent straight pin.
Portrait of man wearing a black bow tie and sporting a blonde mustache. He is sitting in a fancy Victorian wicker chair. Condition – some spots of verdigris/corrosion to the metal back.
Stickpin topped with a celluloid photograph of a lovely little girl with hand tinted pink cheeks and lips. Approx 2-1/4” in total length. The top disc is over 1/2” in diameter. Condition - the center of the photo has an odd texture (hard to see unless it catches the light).
The largest button is 1-1/2” across. It features a portrait of an older woman wearing spectacles and a black dress. The button is marked on the back O.G. Hursen, Palmer House Rotunda, Chicago, Pin-Lock But. Co. Pat. Pend. Very good condition.
All pieces come a non-smoking facility and have no odors.
