Offering two circa 1910 photographs showing scenes on Santa Cruz Island, off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. They were taken by noted Southern Pacific photographer Howard Tibbitts though they lack his stamp. Both measure 61/2 x 81/2 inches and have some light emulsion cracks, second photo has a rather large one above bottom left corner and another small one at upper left corner. These came in a group I purchased years ago and many had his stamp on the back, others with a four digit number in early handwriting and still others which are not marked but are attributed to him because I've seen the exact same shot online with his name on it. Both of these can be found online if you do a search on Tibbitts and Santa Cruz Island. These are all original and not newer prints made from his glass plate negatives which seem to be everywhere these days.Very small number on back which I assume was part of his numbering system.
