1965 Rhode Island "Fire Apparatus" ID 368 License Plate - Extremely Rare

Description

Extremely rare, since:
- Only certain states require plates on Fire vehicles
- The RI DMV issued these as a permanent registration for the life of the vehicle
In Rhode Island, these were issued not only for the Fire Chief's vehicle, but for all fire vehicles (thanks for the clarification I received on this).
This 1960s era Red plate design would eventually be replaced by a white background with red lettering and a more abbreviated "Fire App." phrase.
If you are looking for an ultra-unique plate, this is definitely a one-of-a-kind find - I have not even seen photos of this style anywhere else.
