Description
This is a very nice, professionally certified, Brilliant Uncirculated, sterling silver,
"Six Pence"
from Great Britain. It was struck at the Royal Mint in 1831 during the short 1830-1837 reign of King William IV or
"Sailor Billy"
as he was called because of his long career in the navy before he became King.
William IV
"Six Pence"
were only struck with 5 dates during his short reign. There were proof strikings each of the 5 years these were produced. The 1831 here was the first issue and then they were struck each year from 1834 until 1837.
Numismatic Guarantee Corporation: Mint State 61.
Weight: 2.83 Gram, 19 Millimeter, .925 Silver. Mintage: 1,340,000.
